Zenith XZM ultrafine powder mill unlocks the high-efficiency energy of carbon black

Carbon black is an amorphous form of carbon, produced by the incomplete combustion or thermal decomposition of carbon-containing substances under conditions of insufficient air. It appears as a light, loose, and extremely fine black powder.

As one of the earliest nanoscale materials to be industrially produced by humans, carbon black has been recognized by the international chemical community as one of the 25 basic chemical raw materials and high-end fine chemicals. It is widely used in various fields such as rubber, plastics, inks, coatings, and electronic components. To meet the stringent application standards of various industries, carbon black needs to undergo deep processing methods such as grinding and modification to be made into fine powders that meet indicators like particle size distribution, structure, and tinting strength.

Classification of Carbon Black

From the perspective of application, carbon black is mainly divided into two categories:

One category is rubber-grade carbon black, which dominates the market. By enhancing the wear resistance and tear resistance of rubber, such products are widely used in the production of tires, conveyor belts and other rubber products.

The other category is special carbon black, which includes pigment carbon black, conductive carbon black, plastic-grade carbon black, as well as special-purpose carbon black for specific scenarios such as food packaging and pharmaceutical carriers. These products meet the special needs of high-end fields with their differentiated properties.

Application of Carbon Black

As a carbon-based functional material, carbon black plays a key role in many application fields.

The rubber industry is one of the most extensive and important fields for the application of carbon black. By adding carbon black to rubber tires, it can improve the wear resistance, tear resistance and puncture resistance of rubber, thereby significantly enhancing the service life and performance of tires, reducing rolling resistance, and improving fuel efficiency.

The plastic industry is also an important application field of carbon black. Adding carbon black to plastics can improve their physical properties, such as enhancing heat resistance, UV resistance and impact resistance.

The coating and ink industries also have considerable demand for carbon black. The application of carbon black in coatings can enhance their hiding power, weather resistance and chemical resistance, making coating products more durable and attractive.

In inks, carbon black is used to improve the tinting strength, gloss and printing quality of inks. The application of carbon black is not limited to traditional coatings and inks, but also extends to emerging fields such as water-based coatings, UV inks and metal inks.

Equipped with a new type of high-efficiency cage separator and adopting frequency conversion control, it enables convenient particle size adjustment and precise cutting particle size. The final fineness of the finished product can reach d97≤5μm in one pass.

03 Safe and Reliable Operation

There are no rolling bearings or screws in the grinding chamber, which avoids problems such as easy damage to bearings and equipment damage caused by loose screws.

04 Clean and Environmentally Friendly

It is equipped with a high-efficiency pulse dust collector, as well as silencers and soundproof rooms, which reduces dust and noise pollution and far exceeds the national standards.
